A leading telecom operator in the country had recently spun off its infrastructure arm into a new entity. Tata Strategic was asked to formulate the long term strategic growth plan along with detailed financials for the new organization.
The team carried out a demand assessment of the telecom infrastructure market based on subscriber growth estimates, operator expansion plans and technology and regulatory developments. Analysis of the competitive landscape and activities of infrastructure providers in mature markets helped the team identify growth prospects for the company.
The team studied the business value chain to identify new avenues for revenue generation for the company and laid out a road map for skill sets development in that direction. A detailed financial plan was prepared to give the client an idea of the capex requirements and expected profitability of the venture.
