Tata Strategic Management Group’s Annual Event, Strategy Quotient (SQ) which is offered to select management campuses, concluded at IIM Ahmedabad on November 15, 2009.
SQ2009 was designed to provide students a flavor of the complete consulting process.
Spread over three weeks, the event required participating teams to work as management consultants while formulating solutions for real life business challenges. A panel of Tata Strategic’s senior management adopted the client role and provided feedback to the teams on their strategy and recommendations to the client.
The Panel concluded SQ2009 by conducting a Workshop – “Deciphering Consulting”. The Workshop was specially designed as an interactive session to enable students to appreciate the various facets of consulting and provide significant insights into the profession.
Brief Event Methodology
- Round 1: Initial case brief sent to IIMA campus with Background of Client & Problem Statement, for which each team prepared a Pitch
- Round 2: Detailed project write-up and data pack on project handed over to teams short-listed on the basis of pitch.
Round 3:
- Short-listed teams made final presentation to Tata Strategic panel on campus
- Workshop on Tata Strategic’s methodology & management consulting and awards ceremony
